Each participant will sign the waiver online when they first signup on the team roster site via the link in their invitation email. This is an electronic signature (typing in your full name) at the bottom of the page.
NOTE: If you're trying to login and you get a message about signing the waiver, please check your email and access the site from the link in your email invitation.
1) Login to the Team Roster Site
2) Click on 'My Info'
3) Enter your new password into the 'Password:" field and click Submit
The race pace survey was created to help participants determine the pace that they can expect to race during this year’s relays. To complete the survey:
1) Login to team roster site
2) Click on My Info
3) Scroll down to Race Pace Survey
4) Answer the short survey, entering your time for a recent time trial or organized race. (No Relay Races Allowed)
1) Current Captain must log into team roster page
2) Invite new captain to roster
3) Click on 'Team Info' and select new Captain's name from Captain drop-down list.
NOTE: Once the role of Captain has been transferred, the former Captain will no longer be able to invite/remove team members, edit team info, etc.
Yes, up until July 18, by logging onto your roster page (if you're the Team Captain)!
AFT or a teams Anticipated Finish Time was calculated using data from the Race Pace Surveys filled out by each team member. Data was analyzed and checked before entering the seating algorithm. New start times, traffic patterns and team distributions create a AFT for your team.
The 'Invite Volunteer' button will appear on June 17th for captains on your team roster page. It will not appear before this date.
Each team consists of Eight (8) to Twelve (12) members.
The first High School Challenge Relay took place in 1998 for youth, ages 18 and under only.
The PTC Start has a new location for 2013 (due to Fire Station construction at the old site)! Located adjacent to Oaks Amusement Park and Willamette Springwater Trail, north of the Sellwood Bridge in SE Portland (7805 SE Oaks Park Way, Portland, OR 97202)

For out of town teams and teams that did not pick up their race bags on July 27, they will be available at the start lines only.

Pre-assigned disposable timing chips will be issued at the start lines.
At the Portland Running Company Merchandise Tent at the Finish Party, teams can pick up additional shirts as well as swap sizes still available.
In 2012, Hood & Portland To Coast began using a new seating algorithm to assist in creating a smoother traffic pattern during the race. Team waves are further mixed than in previous years, with faster teams starting along side slower teams. High School Challenge teams will again have wave starts from 5:00-5:45pm
